Physical therapy body-work solves problems

Physical Therapy Body-work

The body-work that physical therapists do is very likely to be different from what massage therapists do.

Whereas typically the goals of a massage therapist are relaxation or reducing muscle stiffness, a physical therapist such as Ria Keinert’s goals are to use the hands to address a dysfunction in the muscles, joints, lymphatics, fascia, and/or organs.

Ria is trained in 8 different types of body-work including:

  1. Myofascial Release, including Scar Release & Skin Rolling.
  2. Craniosacral Therapy
  3. Visceral Mobilization
  4. Joint Mobilization
  5. Soft Tissue Mobilization
  6. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (aka M.L.D.)
  7. Myokinesthetic
  8. Energy Therapies, including Reiki & Healing Touch
