Tough times we are going through on so many levels.
And what am I hearing from my colleagues in the healing arts? Business is off. It should be the opposite. Take a break from the misery, from the spurious bullshit sense of urgency to be somewhere else on your techno devices. The expression "be here now" is not from nothing. Get back into your body and let yourself feel good. When's the last time you floated through a daydream? Notice lately what your keyboarding is doing to your body? No. You aren't paying attention. Let me fix you up. Be good to you. You have to be kind to yourself to tap in to your store of compassion.

The Grateful Dead keep singing in the back of my mind on this last day of 2016. The sixtires seem to be framing things. We are living in an out of control more than MAD Magazine. We have been lazy and thought ourselves above stupidity. We walked right into this. Our only hope is activity. To understand how to be good citizens of planet Earth and act accordingly.
We are backed into a corner. Gotta get it in gear. In sync with others. We cannot continue to be selfishly isolated individuals. We are tribal beings. Find your tribe, form your tribe, join your tribe and move forward in peace and with clear intention. The work I do reflects the way I feel about my life--a struggle to recognize the difference between trudging through and moving right along. Sorting through ideals which have been pushed upon you and searching for what is truly meaningful is a challenge.
Wandering and daydreaming help. Turning off the technology and enjoying the actual. Making human contact without technological mediation. This is where I'm going and I want to help my clients get there too. |
AuthorAs a young woman I was interested in massage and energy work. Reading "Touching:The Human Significance of the Skin" written by the Behaviorist Ashley Montagu gave me the impetus to begin my studies. Over the years I spent in California I studied over 30 techniques with some amazing people. |
